Choosing Dignity Over Contempt

As residents who love our county, the leaders of Bridging Divides-El Dorado believe we need healthy debate and that healthy debate cannot happen without dignity; therefore, we pledge to do all we can to treat others with dignity, not contempt.

1. Treating people with contempt causes division; treating people with dignity eases division.

2. When we put a spotlight on dignity and contempt, we use more dignity and less contempt.

3. When we use more dignity and less contempt, we begin to expect the same from the people who entertain us, inform us, and represent us. (UNITE)
